How to Apply

If you want to apply to the Teach English in China programme, you are strongly advised to contact Professor Phil Thomas. You can call Professor Thomas on +44 (0)29 208 74368 or email phil@teic.co.uk

To apply you will need to fill out the application form below and attach the following to it:

  • Your CV
  • Two letters of reference
  • A digital photo
  • A copy of the last page of your passport
  • A copy of your degree certificate (or transcript of previous marks if graduating this year)
  • Cheque for £160 (made payable to Susan Johns) - this will be returned if no placement is offered

What happens next?

Once you’ve applied you will need to have a telephone interview, conducted by Professor Thomas, prior to being accepted on the programme.

If successful, your details will then be sent to the CEAIE and an appropriate school will then be found.

For visa purposes, you will need to provide a health certificate for the Chinese authorities indicating that you are fit. You are also required to take an HIV test, you will receive more information about this on the acceptance of your application.
