Taking part in the TEIC programme in China was an amazing experience. The opportunity to travel to China to teach English was too good to miss out on. Not only was I able to help develop students oral English, but I was also able to learn Mandarin myself.

China itself is a beautiful country and I was able to experience its beauty in full during the Chinese New Year vacation. In total I had one and a half month’s holiday and was able to travel most of China. I visited the beautiful Sichuan Province and the famous Terracotta Warriors in Xian. In addition to travelling in China I was able to travel to most of the South Asian Countries, including Thailand and Malaysia. None of this would have been possible had I not gone to teach in China. For anyone thinking of teaching in China my only advice is you would be crazy to miss out on the opportunity. Get out there as soon as you can as you’ll love it and never forget the experience.
